Playwriting Individual Event
NCTAE is proud to partner with the International Thespian Society to promote student playwriting. The purpose of NC Young Playwrights Playwriting Individual Event at the NC Thespian Festival is to encourage students across North Carolina to write plays/theatrical events. Students may enter their theatrical work upon their chapter's registration for the Thespian Society Festival (please click on 'Learn More' below to learn how to register your chapter for the ITS Festival). Students will develop their play and a staged reading of their work. The focus should be on playwriting and the presentations should have limited set pieces and no costumes. Entries may be created by one author or an ensemble. Each school may bring one entry.
